In this renovation at Benowa, we removed old tin fascia and gutters. Replaced front and rear cladding with linea weather boards. Exposed original breeze blocks and rendered fence. Installed new doors, windows, garage door. Added rock wall cladding. Revamped pool coping. Added a fresh coat of paint.

This renovation by Coastal Modern Builders is situated in the Gold Coast suburb of Benowa. Throughout the build we sought to enhance the '60s mid century modern style of the home. We replaced exterior cladding with new timber 'Shiplap' boards; installed new kitchen, bathroom and laundry in classic whites and greys; built garden beds in matching house blocks; replaced balustrade and privacy screens; and applied fresh paint.

Coastal Modern Builders was engaged to extend and renovate an existing home on a large block in Mermaid Waters. The build included footings and slab for veranda and second wing; altering internal walls for extra space/open plan living; installing Australian Blackbutt timber flooring throughout entire house; removing hand pitched roof to achieve raked ceilings in living area; a veranda with fly over roof and solid timber posts; new windows and doors; lovely new kitchen, bathrooms and laundry; and fresh paint.

Coastal Modern Builders undertook the construction of a boundary carport extension, for clients at Paradise Point on the Gold Coast. The build specifics: a garage with extra height for camper van storage; timber frame and roof trusses; matched in roof line; new roof and gutters; 'linea' board fascia in keeping with existing home; new driveway poured; matched in brick piers for the fence.

Waterfront Paradise Point clients wanted to make the most of their spanning Coomera River views. To achieve this, Coastal Modern Builders removed old existing windows and doors in the entertaining area; opened up the floor plan with a steel beam; replaced old internal cladding; installed new lighting and ceiling fans, new windows, louvres and doors.

A beautiful old Queenslander was trucked from the Sunshine Coast region to a vacant block in Labrador. Pool site was dug, with plumbing and concrete poured prior to house arrival. House was re-stumped and filled-in underneath for a more spacious home. Internal rear stairs created and traditional Queenslander style veranda restored in front. Beautiful original timber work maintained inside and out.

This project at Currumbin, on the Gold Coast, required a second building on the property, behind the original house. We connected the two with a walkway in keeping the beach house style of the build. The new little beach house included a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and sundeck, in traditional coastal Queensland style. The new building was raised on stumps as per the original house.
